On the 13th May 1990, dual-purpose seated Bristol RELL YFM270L approaches Sunderland’s old Central Bus Station on service 6 from South Shields. The vehicle was originally new to Crosville in 1973 as fleet no. ERG270.

One of six Leyland Leopards fitted with Plaxton Derwent II bodies in 1991/92, replacing Duple Dominant or Willowbrook 003 coachwork. HIL2144 is seen in Crowtree Road, Sunderland on the 29th August 1996. This vehicle was originally new to Northern General in 1982 as their LFT92X.

Plaxton 'Derwent'-bodied Leyland Leopard MTE14R seen in Sunderland on the 1st October 1996. It was one of seven buses of this type that were purchased in 1994 from Darlington Transport, but was originally new to Lancashire United in 1976. This vehicle also saw service with Busways’ Favourite Services division as their 1845.

Another of the Leyland Leopards that were rebodied by Plaxton in 1991/92. HIL2142 is seen in Crowtree Road on the 3rd March 1997 and was originally Northern General’s VPT169R – a 1977 Duple Dominant bodied coach.

On the 13th October 1997, KRN112T is seen on private hire in Sunderland. This Duple Dominant II-bodied Leyland Leopard joined the Hylton Castle fleet in 1992 from Brownrigg of Egremont, but was originally new to Ribble in 1979.

TJI1683 (originally UCX429X) is a Plaxton 'Supreme VI GT'-bodied Volvo B10M which was new to Longstaff of Mirfield in 1982. The vehicle is seen in Chester Road, Sunderland on March 30th 2006.
