This 1959 Plaxton-bodied AEC Relience 129DPT gave over 20 years service with OK. After withdrawal it was preserved and is seen here at Gypsies Green Stadium, South Shields after participating in the 1996 HCVS Tyne Tees Run.

In 1978 OK purchased three former Southdown Northern Counties-bodied Leyland PD3/4s. BUF279C is seen here on the 25th August 1986 at Leam Lane, operating a special service between Heworth Metro and Bowes Railway via the North East Bus Museum.

Park Royal-bodied AEC Regent V PFN858 at Leam Lane on August 25th 1986. The vehicle was originally new to East Kent in 1959 and was acquired with the buy-out of Bishop Auckland-based Lockeys during 1985, whose livery it continued to carry.

This 1952 Leyland Royal Tiger, EJR791, was rebodied in 1966 with Plaxton coachwork and was still in service with OK when seen here in 1986 at the North East Bus Museum's open day rally.

Alexander ‘T-type’-bodied Leyland Leopard, MCL932P - one of seven bought from Ambassador Travel in 1987 – is seen in Durham Road, Sunderland, outside Bede School on February 1st 1989. The vehicle was originally new to Eastern Counties in 1976.

PWO91Y was one of 12 East Lancs-bodied Leyland Leopards acquired by OK from Inter-Valley Link in 1989. The bus is seen in Crowtree Road, Sunderland on the 13th May 1990.

Former Tyne and Wear PTE Alexander-bodied Leyland Atlantean OVK149M at the MetroCentre bus rally on the 29th May 2000.

RFR424P was a former Ribble ECW-bodied Leyland Atlantean dating from 1976. It is seen inside Sunderland's old central bus station on the 20th January 1998, about to depart for New Lambton on the 163 service.

Former McMenemy, Ardrossan (A1 Service) Alexander-bodied Atlantean TSD611S seen at the North East Bus Preservation Society's Seaburn Rally. 25-08-97.

Metro Cammell-bodied Atlantean YNL208V was originally new to Tyne and Wear PTE in 1979, passing to Northern in 1983. When seen here at the 1997 annual Seaburn rally, the vehicle had been transferred to the OK fleet which was by now part of the Go-Ahead Group.

Another vehicle to be transferred to OK from the main Go-Ahead Northern fleet was this 1980 Roe-bodied Atlantean. 3471 (AUP371W) is seen at the 1997 MetroCentre Bus Rally.

The Duple 300 service bus body was never all that common, only being produced for a short period towards the the end of Duple's existense. E107DJR was a Volvo B10M previously operated by Gypsy Queen, Langley Park. The vehicle is seen outside Newcastle's Eldon Square bus station on the 27th March 1998.

On the 28th June 1998, this Duple 320-bodied DAF, G702AEF, was seen at Park Lane bus station, Sunderland.
